Another example of one of the many happy accidents I've had during this challenge. This painting started out as a completely different subject in my mind and in the sketch. However, that subject just would not cooperate. One of the elements of the original design reminded me of a baseball cap, thus the new subject matter. I like it, I hope you do, too!

Apparently, even trolls need a woobie to cuddle at bedtime. Good thing he's stuffed with fluff, because this little lady has a face that could scare the stuffin' out of a live bear.
Eighty down, twenty to go -- WOOT! I am still enjoying the whole experience and learning so much. I don't know if this guy is a goblin or a troll, but he did turn out almost exactly as I had pictured him. I still haven't managed to get the painting to turn out exactly like the sketch, but I am gaining more control over the brushes and learning more about what can be accomplished with watercolor. Another plus is the dogs are enjoying all the late night quality time we are spending together. :)
What better way to spend a holiday weekend than relaxing in the pool? I sure can't think of one. Have a wonderful Labor Day, relax, and enjoy your free time with family and friends!
Our weather this week has been unusually cool for this time of year. The forecasters on the radio tell me that this means the fall foliage will be lovely and the snow this winter plentiful. I've never seen a Yeti, maybe this year I'll get my chance.
I tried something a bit different with this painting: Grayscale. I am drawn to color; bright, vibrant color. Working in shades of gray is WAY out of my wheelhouse. I have worked with graphite and charcoal, I enjoy having the ability to blend and shade in those mediums. This was different -- in some ways better, in some ways more challenging. I'm pleased with the results and will definitely put in some more practice time.
